The BULL RUN® 2007 TAKES ON ASIAN THEME
Singapore Exchange (SGX) launched The Bull Run® 2007 for the fourth consecutive year. This iconic charity fun run in the Central Business District (CBD) will be held on 12 October 2007 at The Padang and will take on an Asian theme for the first time.
Over the past three years, The Bull Run® has raised more than S$7 million for needy children and youths from selected charities. In line with the Asian theme this year, some of the charities selected will be for worthy causes helping the needy from our neighbouring countries. SGX aims to rally the listed companies and financial industries to reach out to these 14 selected charities again this year.
In addition to the 3.2km fun races and the crowd’s favourite - Management Team Relay, a new segment entitled "Gateway Challenge" would be introduced this year. 10 teams would be competing in a series of challenges with an Asian twist at the Padang after the Fun Race. Due to popular demand, last year’s novelty Doggie Road Race will be back with a longer routing of 2.8km.
